The journey began on 3rd June 2004, with a telefilm series titled “Robibarer Bioscope”, produced for Zee Bangla, which opened with a film by legendary director Rituparno Ghosh. NIDEAS also produced a largely successful sitcom, ‘Labonyer Sansar’ for the same channel. NIDEAS has a few feature films to its credit, ‘Janmadata’, a mainstream potboiler by Bengal’s most revered commercial director, Swapan Saha; a hilarious comedy, ‘Teen Yari Katha’ from a youthful director duo, Avijit Guha and Sudeshna Roy; a romcom for younger generation “Baapi Baari Jaa” again from Avijit Guha and Sudeshna Roy and “Force”, directed by popular commercial film director Raja Chanda. NIDEAS has worked with several leading channels including Star and Zee, and holds a record for producing 22 films in a single year.

Expanding its creative footprint beyond regional boundaries, NIDEAS has recently made its debut in the Hindi television industry with the launch of Kabhi Neem Neem Kabhi Shahed Shahed for Star Plus (JioHotstar), further broadening our national reach. In addition, we are actively venturing into the Punjabi and Marathi film industries, with upcoming projects that aim to bring compelling, culturally rooted narratives to new audiences.
